Ginna is assisted by a core team of professionals, with a wide range of experience and qualifications, to deliver an effective quality service to young people who are placed with Transitions. All members of staff hold qualifications specific to their area of work with young people. The minimum requirement for new members of staff joining Transitions is The Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People’s Workforce: Social Care pathway (England), or a commitment to work towards this qualification. All support mentors are expected to be suitably qualified and experienced in working with this service user group
Each member of Transitions team has an individual training plan identified to ensure continued professional development. Newly appointed staff are expected to complete an induction program and satisfy management they are ready to be included on the working rota. During the induction period, the new staff member will shadow an experienced member of the team, and depending on experience, newly appointed staff will be further mentored by a more experienced member of staff for the first few months following induction. All staff receive regular supervision both formal and informal by the managing director, or a senior member of the team.
